Your income deserves a fair conversation.

Receiving benefits, a pension or other regular support does not stop you from making a motorcycle finance application. Mallory Motorcycles will take time to understand your circumstances and explain the process clearly.

Finance on benefits

Regular income comes in different forms.

Benefits and pensions can form an important part of a household budget. When reviewing an application, a lender may look at the regularity of your income, your normal monthly spending, the motorcycle you are considering and whether repayments remain manageable.

Our role as a credit broker is to explain the available process and introduce customers to a carefully selected panel of lenders where appropriate. The lender makes the credit decision.

Affordability first

Any agreement must be suitable for your income and regular commitments.

Accurate information

Complete income and outgoings details help create a clearer picture.

Clear next steps

We will talk through the process before a lender credit search is proposed.

Income we may discuss

Tell us about your complete financial picture.

There is no automatic outcome. What a lender can consider and the evidence it requires will vary by application.

Pension income

State Pension, Pension Credit and private pension income may be relevant where they form part of your regular income.

  • State Pension

Your monthly budget

It is equally important to understand the commitments that come out of your income each month.

  • Housing and household bills
  • Existing credit commitments
  • Insurance and transport costs
  • Everyday living costs

Motorbike finance on benefits FAQs

Questions answered clearly.

Every finance application is assessed individually. We will be open about the process from the beginning.

Can I apply for motorbike finance if I receive benefits?

You can make an application. Some finance providers may take certain regular benefit income into account, alongside your wider financial circumstances. Every application is subject to lender criteria, affordability checks and status.

Which benefits may be considered?

The income a lender can consider varies. It may include benefits such as Universal Credit, Personal Independence Payment, Employment and Support Allowance, Carer’s Allowance, Child Benefit, State Pension or Pension Credit. Please provide accurate details of all regular income and outgoings.

Do I need to be employed to apply?

Not necessarily. A lender’s decision is based on your individual circumstances, including whether the proposed payments are affordable and sustainable. Employment is only one part of that assessment.

Will I need a deposit?

This depends on the motorcycle, your application and the lender’s requirements. A deposit or an approved part exchange may reduce the amount you need to borrow.

What information will I need to provide?

You may be asked for evidence of regular income, details of your monthly outgoings, address history, bank details and information about the motorcycle you wish to buy. Requirements vary by lender.

Can I repay my agreement early?

You usually have the right to settle regulated hire-purchase finance early. Your lender can provide a settlement figure and explain how it is calculated under your agreement.
