Royal Enfield, the world’s oldest motorcycle brand in continuous production, is proud to announce a significant new partnership with the British Army, specifically collaborating with the Army Motorised Adventure (AMA) group.

This collaboration reinforces the long-standing heritage between Royal Enfield and the UK military, which dates back to World War I. To support the training and development of serving personnel, Royal Enfield will supply the AMA with a fleet of four new Himalayan 450 motorcycles, along with genuine apparel and accessories.

The versatile and rugged Himalayan 450 has been chosen as the premier machine for the Army’s adventure and exploration initiatives. These bikes will be central to forthcoming training and public exercises, including the rigorous Exercise Mudmaster and Exercise Roadmaster off-road navigation trials. These events are crucial for personnel to build and master skills ranging from technical riding and tactical planning to physical and psychological preparedness.

We are thrilled to support the British Army's Motorised Adventure initiative. Given our deep-rooted history with the military, we felt compelled to back this hugely important programme. The Himalayan is a machine that is truly capable and versatile in the toughest conditions, making it the perfect tool for military training.

The partnership also integrates Royal Enfield into the British Army’s event calendar, including support at the recent Army Motorsport Day at Thruxton Circuit and future presence at key Royal Enfield events, such as Motorcycle Live (MCL 2025).

We are delighted to partner with Royal Enfield. This unique collaboration, featuring the Himalayan 450 fleet, offers our serving personnel the invaluable opportunity to get onto two wheels, learn crucial off-road skills, and participate in the ambitious overland expeditions we undertake both domestically and abroad. We are excited to reignite our historical association with Royal Enfield and look forward to its growth in the coming years.

The collaboration builds upon a rich legacy, including the iconic ‘Flying Flea’ 125cc motorcycle which was parachuted with paratroopers behind enemy lines during WWII. Today, the Himalayan 450 takes the reins, providing a durable, reliable, all-terrain platform for the next generation of British Army adventurers.
